Residence Inn By Marriott Pleasanton

Rachel the front desk person was the only thing good about the whole stay. First two rooms had ants all over. I was disappointed on Expedia because,I always use you guys and nobody was there to help me out. Finally after an hour of waiting for a room to be decent, we got the room. I was still charged for half of the room, which I thought I should I have been reimbursed for the whole stay just because it was a huge inconvenience. On top of that it felt pretty bad sleeping in somewhere where the first two rooms were dirty and had ants.

I was just supprised that it would take so long to get my deposit back I called today because I didnt see it and they said it might take up to 5 day for it to show up

The rug stank

Assigned rooms are too close to other guests during COVID. Not many people here, so I’m unsure why we are staying next door to each other. Also, room(s) seem to all have inter-room connecting doors. Although, other guests are not loud, EVERY, conversation could be heard. Perhaps, this due to poor design material, and the reason for the posted signs indicating “quiet hours” between 10pm-8am - something they should mention on the website and/or when booking.

This was not a Marriott quality stay. Hotel is under renovation.We were placed in a building next to main building. No elevator so we were forced on ground floor. Main building looks to be under major construction. Contsiners of building materials all over the grounds. The breakfast was a bagged breakfast and at first they were out of those but they did call our room and say they had more . It appears People are living at hotel. Some working on their cars, others set up bird feeders, camping chairs set outside door way to smoke in. Air conditioner if turned off in middle of night and not back on until later in the morning. Room was clean but couch worn. Hallway smelled funky We want our money / room credit refunded . We spoke with Marriott and they are investigating. Hotels.com needs to return my call .

I got the suite with two rooms. I was pleasantly surprised by there being 2 bathrooms, but the description said a separate shower and tub, so I expected the shower and tub to be separate. That was a disappointment. Staff were very friendly and accommodating given covid, but appliances were very outdated. I probably wouldn’t stay again as I like hotels to be very modern contemporary.

I called to see if the pool and hot tub were open and was told yes. Once I arrived it was another story. To use the pool you needed to make a reservation and the hot tub was not in service. They lied to me to get me to come there. I needed a later check out and they were not accommodating. The fountains are all green and moldy. This used to be my favorite place to stay in Pleasanton, not anymore.

The only issue we had was that the TV system was so outdated.

Management didn't do a good job of instilling confidence. Overpriced. Our room smelled of raman
