A week before traveling I called and got permission for my sister to be added as approved check-in as she traveled separately. Once arrived the clerk insisted that I had already checked in at a time when I was still half an hour away. It took about twenty five minutes for them to finally issue her a room key as they had given the room assigned to us to another customer. Our room, once we got in had towels for two (traveling party of three), there was urine on the floor by the toilet, the smoke detector was dangling from its wires and showed no light (possibly indicating not working) and the beds were quite firm. The last is of course a personal preference so understandable. The building itself is older so I appreciate the attempts to update it and also appreciate the pet-friendly flooring. Also there are quite a few barn swallows making their nests which I personally find endearing as these are not generally pesky birds, but others might find off-putting. The driveway to access the hotel is quite tricky so for new guests to the area pay close attention to signage at the end of the driveway. The included breakfast included waffles, toast, cereal, bagels and sausage biscuits that were not kept in the cooler but were set out in the bread box. There were two bananas when we came down at seven, but no other fruit. Coffee and fruit juice also on offer.
