I can't say enough good things about Ladera. We went for our Honeymoon and it was absolute paradise. First and most importantly, the staff were beyond welcoming, kind, and accommodating. Every detail was thought through from the welcome rum drink to the tasty check-out treat and everything in-between. The food at Dasheene was fabulous, the views beyond real, and the rooms comfortable and relaxing. While you might think it would be hot and buggy with the open wall concept, it truly wasn't bad - especially with the bug net and spray! The cool air off the ocean makes it comfortable. I think the fourth wall removed is all part of the unique experience! The resort is a quick taxi ride down to the beaches and town of Soufriere, and walking distance from the Robot restaurant where all dishes and cocktails are made from locally grown Cocoa (delish). To be honest, we barely wanted to leave the resort. It was so relaxing and beautiful. While we went during the rainy season, it actually added to the beauty. The property was green and luscious, taken care of by Ray - who climbed up a tree to gift us with some Saint Lucian apples. So cool! We got a couples massage (which was AMAZING) and did the Land & Sea tour which I would highly recommend. Lastly, Caroline took care of our every need (thank you!). I can only hope to get back to St. Lucia, and of course, stay at the beautiful Ladera. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for an unforgettable stay.
