Staff Extortion
The hotel was great after the initial shock of the prison type atmosphere. I came to understand the metal detectors and barbed/electrical wire fencing were to protect. The people in the community were overwhelmingly kind. The bar and serving staff were also overwhelmingly kind. The main issue I had was with some of the men on the front desk staff that attempted to extort money from me. I reserved a junior suite which is said to accommodate 4 persons. I booked my reservation for 1 person as I was traveling alone. However, I have 1 fried that came to eat and drink with me and came up to my room. The men at the front desk proceeded to call me and tell me I have an unauthorized person in the room and I will have to pay $50 to them. They claimed this was a company policy. No such policy existed as I asked for them to show me the policy and they could not. They then said it was a $20 and they would put it on my bill. I refused. This fraud really put a stain on an otherwise beautiful trip. Those men should not be working for Best Western.

I spent two weeks at best western Westlands. During the entire time I felt at home. The staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful. The hotel itself is new and modern and they allowed me to check out late at know fee. Lastly, I would like to thank Dominic, John, the entire front desk team and the dining team for an excellent service and attention to the customer satisfaction.
