Pleasant stay
Lovely helpful staff. Great room service Room a bit hot

Very good 8.0
All very reasonable, quiet and relaxing after a long days work. However, the last night, Thursday, was not. I was in my room at about 10pm and the couple next door decided to have loud sex. I had to turn the volume up on the television to drown it out until 11pm! I put earplugs in just in case and went to sleep. I was then woken by loud banging on the door of the room next door and women talking at 05:20 in the morning. I could not get back to sleep after that.

Disappointing
Very disappointing, went for relaxing leisure break, couldn’t use or enjoy swimming pool and jacuzzi far too cold

Was ok but could be better
The hotel could do with an update, my room was ok but a bit dated. It was also unbearably hot meaning I didn’t sleep at all. I appreciate the weather last week was exceptionally hot and that’s not the fault of the hotel but a select few rooms have air con. It would be good to expand that to all rooms. The health club and swimming pool facilities were good. The restaurant food was fine but the service was lacking a bit. Overall it was just ok.

Issues
Issues with check in. Staff overwhelmed in the restaurant - particularly at breakfast time. Things arriving in wrong order.

Faulty Towers
Could be described as Faulty Towers. Room was OK and clean enough but our Bathroom light kept going off by itself and there was no hot water in the morning. We reported this and thy gave us a key to another room so we could shower, but that room had no hot water either. Took them ages to find out it was a problem with their boiler, which I would have thought was obvious. So, we didn't have time for a shower and there was no offer of compensation. My bar bill was less than £20 and they still charged it in full. All in all a bit shoddy and I wouldn't rush back.

Always impressed...
I've stayed here before and always impressed by the standard of hotel vs. the cost. The receptionist was particularly helpful, and allowed me to check in at 10am, prior to me heading to London for a meeting.

Visiting Family
Really good stay, excellent spa facilities, and beautiful grounds, very large comfortable rooms and really comfortable big beds with all facilities. However, my mother had an accessible room due to mobility issues, although there were grab rails on one side of the toilet it would have been nice to have had a toilet extension available as when you have joint problem its very painful to get down as low as a normal toilet and a raised seat and frame would be very good, these are portable so having a few available would have been very much appreciated - also the disabled access into the building involved a lot longer walk than the able bodied access, to the side , round the back and in through the back of the bar which is not ideal for someone with a walker, although we did manage to use the revolving door in the end. Also there were no disabled toilets in the reception area that we were made aware of.
