A rare Norwegian institution, worth a visit
This hotel is quite an historical institution with so much history in the walls. If you want to learn about the great show artists and musicians in Norway, you should go for a walk in the corridors and breathe in the atmosphere and stories painted on the walls. The view from the room was amazing, I love waking up next to the sea from the the sound of seagulls. Bed was super comfortable and I was blessed with a bathtub. Breakfast was a rather traditional Norwegian one, which was quite refreshing. Annoyingly there were signs of "homemade" and "freshly squeezed", when it was obviously not. The person who met me at the reception at my arrival, was truly perfect for the job and I felt very much welcome. All in all it was a great stay and I look forward to come back!

Centrally hotel close to everything. Partly upgraded, but not my room. Bathroom should be done years ago.

Mediocre
Ok hotel for the price. Got a seaview room by asking for it. No air-condition in the room and a little too noisy from the road outside. The room was clean-ish but we found garbage under the bed.

Reasonably priced, great breakfast, bit dated
Reasonably priced hotel with great location near the waterfront. Room was very spacious, very happy with the breakfast and cleanliness. I felt the hotel was a bit tired and dated in parts, particularly the gym and could do with some work. Disappointed that there were no in room tea and coffee facilities and no shampoo and conditioner available. Overall a good hotel considering the price point.
