Under Construction
The hotel is under construction. I was not made aware of this by the app so I was surpised to see cranes everywhere. The elevators did not work (b/c of the remodeling). I also noticed that the a/c was blowing out installation in the room (little white balls?), and I was disappointed the waffle maker didn't work. The receptionist was very friendly and nice when I checked in. He went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable; even carrying my bags up the stairs ans giving me a gift bag. I could tell that he took pride his customer service. He offered to cancel the reservation but it was late and I didn't make be out looking for another room that late. I believe that it would have been an great stay if not for the remodeling.

Terrible time. Under construction which they mention nothing about. Got awoken at 7 am by a group of men talking, laughing and banging tools directly outside our window. Asked the front desk the night before if construction would be an issue since we could see what was going on when we arrived, and were assured it wouldnt be an issue. It totally was. Debris was flying in from the ac and all over our clothes.

Property is being remodeled, when we turned AC on styrofoam snow poured out of it all over room. Desk employee took a look and gave us a different room and helped move our belongings to the new room. Top notch professional service.

Our over all experience was good. The only things that weren't good was that I completely understand that the hotel is nonsmoking but when there's people smoking other stuff inside the hotel rooms and the staff doesn't do anything about it is not right to me and the other thing about our stay this time is that I did laundry and the dryer did not dry our clothes at all even after running the clothes through 2 cycles

Its Ok hotel...not that much comfort. smelly carpets and some viberating sound in bathroom, we complained to front desk they gave some excuse and said its water pipe sound but i can feel the viberation on bed too unable to sleep on first night due to the distubance..Second night was horrible..poor security..some homless person entered in the facility and disturb the fire alaram. Twice fire alaram was acitve and all sounds every where...people are coming out with noise. Over all my stay was not that cool or pleasent ..not a good hotel for recomendation specially for family...

Won’t stay there again!
Old, run down, dirty. Lesson learned, don’t judge a hotel by its stars (7.4 good). I foolishly thought the low price was due to location. Not necessarily so. Apparently low price was due to age/condition. I’ll never stay in another LaQuinta that’s less than $100/night. Elevator was gross. Hall carpet needed vacuuming. Laundry room floor was covered in lint and dryer sheets. I wouldn’t even put my clothes in the machines. Bedding in our room seemed clean enough, but one bath towel had a speck of something I picked off. Bathroom was in really bad shape....loose tub faucet, caulking was sloppy & black. Everything needed painting. I felt like cooties were everywhere. Lobby was much nicer. Breakfast was sparse compared to other LaQuintas (no eggs, bacon or sausage) but clean enough and sufficient for what we paid. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for. My husband kept reminding me “it’s just for one night.”

The staff is amazing and the food is great! My only concern is one of the front desk workers. He is rude and is constantly making snide comments towards guests. Aside from that the La Quints is hands down the best stay in the Brookhollow area for the price. Try to get the King suite 1 bedroom. The cleaning staff are very nice too
