Excellent Location at reasonable price
This hotel is conveniently located near trams, buses, convenience stores and sightseeing places such as the Melbourne State Library which is 8 mins walk away. You can get to practically anywhere. There is also a tourist information booth nearby where you can get brochures, top up transport card and make enquiries. Hotel reception staff however is not very knowledgeable and cannot answer most of the questions. Housekeeping is done once in every 3 days, but you can request to clear the wastebin anyday when it is full. Overall, if you just need a clean, convenient and safe place to stay, and dont need much of the reception service, Mercure is an excellent choice.
