Aside from the very strict check-in time, which is common in Japan, there was little to fault. Baggage storage was convenient and easy when we arrived a little early.
Because we unexpectedly extended our stay, we had two consecutive reservations for different room types. The staff handled the transfer seamlessly. We simply exchanged keys.
My only suggestion concerns breakfast. Because I cannot tolerate milk, I normally use a substitute such as soy milk. When I requested it on the first morning, it was provided. The next day, however, a different staff member told me that soy milk was unavailable, so I bought some at 7-Eleven for the following morning. When I returned to breakfast, the staff member from the first day was there and brought me soy milk without my even asking. That was excellent service.
It would be helpful to offer a readily available lactose-free alternative and ensure that all breakfast staff know about it. This was a very minor issue during an otherwise wonderful stay.
