Will be back many times!
This is the most interesting and beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. We had the good fortune to stay in both the forest view room and penthouse suite. Such an amazing experience! The customer service is top shelf and the rooms are extremely clean. Not a single bug. The beds are even more comfortable than home and they have so many nice little touches like a turndown service. The bath products are locally made and smell amazing. They have rain shower heads and the shower looks out into the jungle. All good (even coffee and tea) come from their sustainable farm. The grounds are views are just stunning - we spent hours a day walking around them. Not a negative thing to say! Photo is the view from their craft brew restaurant.

Not my favourite by a long way. Room was nice but the property was isolated from town and we felt stuck. Service in restaurant was abysmal, poor staff training. Dinner was plain, expensive and seemed to come from a freezer. They try to con guests into buying appetisers in happy hour by delaying bringing free snacks 15 minutes after drinks and not mentioning they are complementary when you order drinks. There is no swimming pool. The gardens smell of sewage due to their ecopolicies. Trips wildly expensive, even to visit their own garden ! No help with a lost item. We regret this booking as it was expensive.

The hotel was situated in a lovely part of Monteverde with pristine views in every direction from the restaurant. The hotel is proud of their self sufficient produce and operations, which we found fantastic; their meals were lovely and very fresh. They also accommodated us on our arrival due to having a night tour booked and arriving later than planned we didn’t have enough time to eat a meal before we headed out, but they took our food order and made the meal ready for our arrival back much later in the evening even though the kitchen itself had shut which we were greatly appreciative of.
