Expectations and reality don't meet here. Sadly.
The All Ritmo Resort and Water Park was a very big letdown. The photos and descriptions both on Hotels.com and on the resort's website were extremely misleading. Overall, I was happy to be in Mexico, a country I love so much. We had great weather.
Our room was aged but very clean. Upon arrival, we saw that we had only two towels and no hand towels or bathroom towels. We asked the front desk for more and he gave us his "last two" towels. There were three of us.
The food was not good either. I've always loved the options and quality provided by other resorts of the same cost. There were hotdogs for or in every meal. Even the "nice" restaurant where you need reservations served hotdogs. There was very little variety and overall quality provided for every meal.
There are 3 bars in total. Main one is by the pool which plays loud music constantly. One near the lobby which was open in the evenings. And one by the waterpark across the road. I walked a lot to as there weren't many employees serving.
We tried to cancel our reservation the first night but needed to talk to Guest Services to do so. She had gone home for the evening. So the next morning at 9am I spoke with her. Her name is Karen. She is a great asset for this not-so-great resort. She helped address some of our needs but wasn't able to change our experience. She was very kind and patient. I appreciated her.
But overall, I would suggest going elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the photos.
