Stylish hotel on Augsburg’s impressive Maximillian Street. Large public areas hung with impressive art. Our room was well appointed but with very little natural light. Parking expensive.

The heated floor in bathroom didn’t work. The dial was broken. The room was hot. Even with window open we were roasting. However, with room directly over the doors to the bar, it was noisy way beyond midnight, thus didn’t want windows open. Finally, after asking for a fan, we were comfortable. But, the room was small & we stumbled over the fan. Thus, the fan was not ideal. Perhaps down comforters less thick would be better, or AC?

It's a classic, beautiful hotel, modernized for today's traveler. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with nice furniture and decor. The bathroom is amazing: large, well-lit and has probably one of the nicest tubs if you like to take baths (I enjoyed the shower; my wife, the tub). Everything about the hotel, from its friendly and helpful staff, to the bar and restaurant, spa facilities and lobby wait areas are first rate. The location is also excellent, and walkable to the commercial area of town. This was the first time I'd experienced the Christmas Market in Germany, and we all had a wonderful stay. We'll be back.
