When we checked in the hotel was experiencing a computer breakdown which resulted in us waiting approximately an hour and 30 minutes to check in. I understand that these things happen, (although in my 61 years it’s never happened yet) but my concern with the hotel is how management handled the situation.
When we finally were able to check in myself, as well as other guests we’re asking if the hotel would offer some type of compensation for our inconvenience. The gentleman who Checked us in Was extremely rude and after several attempts to ask if anything would be provided he gave us a two hour extension on our check out.
After retiring for the evening we woke up to our room being extremely warm, this was after we turned down the thermostat on our air conditioner when we went to bed. When I contacted the front desk I was advised that they could turn down our air conditioning remotely from the desk.
The room was comfortable about an hour later, but I have never been in a hotel that you could not turn down the temperature in the room.
In the morning the coffee service in the room was instant Nescafé. This is supposed to be a five-star hotel and they offer instant coffee?
We were very disappointed with all the amazing hotels in Brussels I would not return to this hotel.
