Good overall stay, but no beach access from paths
I liked the old school beach vibe this place offered. Very relaxing, close to the beach, about a 20 min walk and restaurants are just across the street. It looks like they are renovating as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved that our dog could come with us. The views and beach access can be a little deceiving. While you can hear the beach and watch the sunrise/set, you cant see the beach from the ground floor (which was okay for us). We were looking for a bottom floor because of our pup, and this room was affordable and had plenty of space. There is a sign with a few paths directing you to the beach, but hike at your own risk. I never made it to the beach, it was too muddy and overgrown to actually venture out too far. Good thing its a close walk/drive otherwise. :)

Run, Id rather sleep on the beach next time
Please do not choose this place. Keep looking. There is no AC-which is not uncommon-however, there are also no screens on the windows...so first floor rooms are suspect to any animal or human crawling in so you can get some fresh air. The rooms have no phone to call the desk, they are old and stinky, there are zero ammenities available. the grass is SO SHARP that walking out back to the volleyball net was impossible. Plus they charge an insane amount. for almot 400 dollars we should get something.

Not what we expected.
The property was in disrepair. Some of our outlets in the room did not work. Room did not smell clean or inviting upon first entering. Was not made aware of an extra pet fee until check in. Thought we were getting a beach view and ended up with a small partial view.

Good view, but not maintained in years.
Stayed here a few years ago, and it was fine. Stayed this last weekend, and this place has really fallen apart. There were massive cobb webs in our room, every piece of old furniture felt like it was going to break apart as soon as you sat in it. But the staff was friendly and it had a nice view.

Will not be back here.
The room was ok. My bed was clearly in need of replacement. You could feel the need sag when you say on it. I want sure if the place was open because it looks so run down. No phone in the room. The door handle didn't fit right so you could see through it. The indoor pool was cold and dirty. I used the pool skimmer to clean a chunk of hair and try to remove whatever residue seemed to be on the top of the water. The "hot tub" area of the pool was not even warm enough to put my feet in. I choose this place because of the pool for my kids. We will not be going back there. Not worth any money we may have saved. My advice pay extra anyplace else.

We made a last-minute plan for a visit on Razor Clam Festival weekend (& opening of clamming season) so hotel pickings were slim. This place is not a “resort” by any stretch of the imagination; rather, it’s a really old and run-down motel in a good location. The room was clean, though, and we had a nice view from the 3rd floor. The person who checked us in was friendly and helpful with suggestions of good places to eat. The grounds and exterior were pretty rough. The adjacent related property seemed to be abandoned in mid-repair but it looked like people were living there in very sketchy circumstances. At 3:00am we were awakened by the people next door having a very loud argument (the walls are thin, and they were really loud). Pounding on the wall didn’t shut them up. So in the end paid almost $200 for not even a good night’s sleep, but at least we did have a bed.
