Great overall hotel
Park Lane hotel has a great location on central park but is far from all the other must sees unless you are wanting to commute by subway. I had a executive parkview room and it was absolutely amazing. The room was clean and spacious but the mattresses were ready to be discarded and not to comfortable. The bathroom was not what I would expect for the hotel but it was clean. The staff was attentive but seemed a bit lethargic when I had a medical emergency and did not feel I had their support or durng this moment. The hotel manager was very attetive and concerned after I returned to hotel. I would consider staying at the hotel again.

Run down Hotel, no service at all. It looks like you are staying in a cheap Motel. Everything is old and falling apart.

Only what you pay for. Absolutely nothing else.
Hotel was fine and comfortable, if a little dated. Disappointed there's no in-room fridge or tea/coffee facilities. I arrived solo with a lot of luggage. Staff were completely unhelpful - would not assist getting my luggage to my room or storing it while I returned the rental car (parked in a taxi zone risking a fine, as no drop-off area exists). Reluctantly let me leave it unattended in the lobby. The same occurred on check-out. No facility to leave luggage between check-out and me departing New York, other than paying to extend the room.

The place has a cheap, shabby, run down feel. Like someplace. You expect a 4 star hotel to have bellmen to help with your bags. Park Lane does not, which sucks if you have an injury or disability. As for the room - the place is supposedly non-smoking (at least my room was), yet there were cigarette burns all over. "City View" rooms should be renamed "Alley View". The furniture was cheap and tacky looking, like someone got an idea of "rich people" furniture from a 1920s movie and then bought the cheapest, light weight stuff they could find that looked kind of like that. Everything, from the door to the carpet to the furniture looked worn. The wait at check in for the "valet parking" was slightly over a half hour. On check out they don't bring your car around or even have it ready at the garage; you have to lug your bags around the block to the garage and wait in the cold for them to bring it up. The restaurant and bar was closed. According to the front desk it was due to COVID. The kitchen was also closed, again supposedly due to COVID, so I couldn't order room service. Despite COVID there were plenty of restaurants and food trucks in the area that were open, so it wasn't a huge problem, just a nuisance. In general the place has a sad feel to it, like a hotel that's seen better days and is now one stop from hosting homeless people for the City. The only redeeming quality it had was price.

Because of renovation was impossible to sleep after 9am. I changed to other room but helped a little. The first room the carpet was stained, have no mini fridge. The other room was better but when I try to take shower on the second day of my stay: no water in the bathroom! Out of 4 days, I can not save one nice day. If someone asked me I will never indicate this hotel. Every time that I try to reach by phone the concierge, front desk or personal help I have to leave a message because only one person was doing all those jobs.

Not clean
It was very dirty in bath room. I found hairs and even a small plastic bag in the bath tub. It seems that no one cleans up the basin and a tub. It was so disappointed. More, the tables were not clean. I had to wipe again with my wet tissues. I am not sure that I will come back again.
