Spice Island was AMAZING. We wanted a nice resort with an all-inclusive option. We booked on Expedia and the next day we were called by Spice Island asking if we had any food allergies and if we wanted a complementary upgrade to our room. What a nice personal touch that phone call was. From the time we arrived until the time we departed we were treated like family. The staff always addressed us by name with a smile and many employees spent time getting to know us. This was our first all-inclusive vacation (typically we take cruises) and I can’t see how we would/could find any place better. The room was perfect and walking right onto the beach was beautiful. They cleaned our room twice a day and always was spotless. Ice was changed whenever they cleaned so we always had fresh ice. The pool was well kept and extremely clean and relaxing. The staff would always come by our patio as well as the pool asking if we needed a drink. The bands they had on Monday and Wednesday night was a nice touch. Lunch on Sunday was wonderful as they grilled a lot of the food and the selection was aplenty. We did an excursion to the rain forest and Spice Island set this up for us and even packed us a very nice picnic lunch. Wow!! My wife, son and I are looking for our return to Spice Island in the future. There couldn’t possibly be a nicer place in Grenada than this wonderful resort. Brian, Heidi and Kody.

I loved that the patio in our room lead right on to the beach.

The suite was excellent. Good view, comfortable beds. However, the skylight in the bathroom brings light into the bedroom making it difficult to sleep past 6:30am. Dining room operating hours is not as convenient as it could be. Lunches are not served until 12pm and dinner not until 7pm. Foods were good but limited choices.

The service was 1st class. I like the fact that I had a private swimming pool and the ocean was a 3 min walk

Perfect Getaway
Spice Island was excellent. The service was perfect, the resort was beautiful, and the food was better than you will find at any Caribbean resort. Although it was all-inclusive, there was not one aspect that felt “mass produced” like at other Caribbean resorts. We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to go back.

Good
Nice colonial building on a beautiful beach with amazing staff. Big let down is the food. Extremely conservative, boring and tasteless. Strict dress code in the main restaurant with a fix/set 5-course dinner on most nights. Service and Management are stuck in time. It seems the owner is fascinated by the British Royal Family and that reflects in the service. Very old fashioned and not adjusted to current times. The question is, what is luxury in 2018? Is it a formal dress code and ketchup being served by staff with a silver spoon, or putting your feet in the sand and a beach barbeque with fresh ingredients? You decide....it wasn't for us.
