Great central location, fabulous and helpful host. Large room with great view of the sea. My only slight issue was the soft pillows which my husband loved whereas I prefer a hard pillow so wish I brought my own.

Liked the free WiFi , size of the room, lift (although small) to all floors. Proprietor friendly and helpful .Would have liked breakfast to be available but possibly owing to corona virus it was not. No daily housekeeping in rooms same reason . Not a problem for our 3 night stay. Cats Pyjamas across the road good for breakfast .

I think that for the cost, overall , St Nicholas Lodge is good value for money. It is a bit dated however and although the room was basic, I would've overlooked this , however, the only thing that looked like it had been cleaned in the room was the bed linen and towels. It was disappointing to find dust on the surfaces and half opened shower gel in the bathroom , obviously left from the last guest!
