Hotel is located by a very noisy "highway". Upon checking in we were upgraded to a suite as there was some confusion on our reservation and no one had read our email we had sent to the hotel prior to our arrival. However, the suite was located on the road side and due to the heavy traffic and no soundproof on the windows we could no really sleep there. Also the condition of the suite is questionable; big dirty carpets and laminated floor that swings up n down when you walk on that. Rooms on the yard side are quiet, and nicer. Rooftop bar has low quality food, loud music (and has been design with an awful taste even though it would have had much potential). From outside (on the pool area) you can nicely see the Acropolis. Rooftop pool was still open on November even though it says in the web pages it will be closed 1st of NOW onwards. Fortunately the neighbouring building has amazing cocktail bar and restaurant (Hytra) which is worth of visiting. In the spa area, and after the massage, there is no water either tea available - you must ask for a water if you wish to have a sip. Sauna was out of order (later we were told that upon request it can be heated... ). There are no signs on changing rooms, so again you need to ask the front desks for male/female. At least the female changing room was freezing cold. Gym is quite ok for a hotel gym. Minibar (tea, coffee etc) was not re-filled. On the ground floor lobby bar it was impossible to get any service without waving furiously hand

    Great hotel
Great hotel! Room was clean and spacious. Nice, modern interior. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Very good. Restaurant also good. Room service was good and fast. I just wish it were closer to the sights or to a metro station.

    Departing on a cruise
We got upgraded to the Presidential Suite which was really amazing but worthless on the type of trip we had. The hotel is very nice and nicely located close to downtown and main touristic areas. Breakfast is kind of messy and disorganized but with good options.

    Poor 2.0
    Bed bugs and no reimbursement
It was the worst experience ever. Emergency evacuation alarm for mistake during one night. And BED BUGS. They didn’t reimburse nothing, just ignored my complain. Keep going like this Grand Hyatt, you lost one loyal customer.

    A bit disappointed
Hotel is nice, comfortable, modern but... Check-in was listed as 2 p.m. and our room was not ready. We went out to have a bite and returned at about 4 p.m. and our room was still not ready. We had to wait an extra 15 minutes which normally would be fine but when you're getting off a flight it could be exhausting. Staff was very nice but We were not even offered a beverage or any accommodation for having to wait. When we arrived at the room it seemed as if they rushed through the cleaning it because it had a weird smell and it didn't look very clean. So...a bit disappointed.

    Poor 2.0
Avoid: Front desk rude, seedy location, expensive
Massive missed opportunity for a relatively new hotel - disappointing on every level and not Hyatt standard in terms of facilities or service. - Located in a very seedy red light district, far from the centre and metro and next to what is basically a motorway. - Reception staff - rude, sarcastic and unhelpful. If not 100% prepaid would have checked out on arrival due to their totally unacceptable attitude. - Rooms poorly soundproofed, badly planned and definitely not worth the price. - Rooftop pool has a ridiculously pitiful 18 sunbeds for a 450+ room hotel. Other pool is in the shade for half the day. - Breakfast queue over 10 minutes long just to get a table and breakfast costs extortionate. Athens is having a renaissance with a lot of new hotels opening. There are many, many better hotels in excellent locations with polite and friendly staff who are happy to help guests. Avoid this one!

Well located, but will need to use a taxi
New hotel. Has some electric problems. Hopefully will solve them. Lights went on 4 times during the wee hours.

Hotel was beautiful. Mattress is very firm. Breakfast is expensive but not that great. I would go elsewhere.
