    Poor Staff

    Room suite was nice, housekeeping was great. Front desk representatives over charged my card $400 and were unable to explain why and blamed it on the “crazy internet world”. At check in I reserved a suite, was told there were no suites available, after making a reservation a week ahead through hotels.com they blamed it on Hotels.com.

    We arrived to check in around 6 pm and our room was still not clean or ready. A staff member cleaned our room at that time quickly and it smelled heavily of air freshener when we got in. The shuttle service to and from the concert venue (which is why we booked this hotel) was very disappointing, as well. We reserved a time on the shuttle and had to wait 3 additional rounds of shuttling past that time before there was room for us.

    Traveling

    Good location, lots of new staff and we were glad about that. Desk staff were friendly. Good breakfast, did use the pool. Transfer to airport went well. They had cookies at night and non-alcoholic beverages setting out.

    It took almost 2 full hours to get through the line at the checkin desk, only to find out I had been walked. As I had ridden with a couple from my hometown who were NOT walked, I had no way to get to and from the two hotels. The poor front desk agent still had 80 people behind me to checkin. This hotel overbooked so badly and was so understaffed as to be utterly unacceptable. Kenya was a wonderful agent, but Holiday Inn put her in a terrible position. The other staff there, one obviously a manager, never offered to help Kenya answer phones or check people in. Kenya had a phone to each ear while she also attempted to check in people and deal with irate guests who had been walked and had to stay nearly 2 hours to find out that information. I will not stay at a Holiday Inn again considering that this would have been a company decision (to overbook, employee managers not willing to help front desk agents).
