Nice hotel, but the rooms had problems
On my first stay, I told the front desk that the alarm clock’s phone charging didn’t seem to work. They sent someone to take the alarm clock away and never replaced it. On my second stay, the window would not close properly and would fly open in a strong breeze.

Always a nice welcome at the hotel. Room door was a pain wouldn’t unlock first time and the room safe had a low battery so wouldn’t work but problems were soon fixed. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice

Room rather small with very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Beautiful floral displays in the foyer. My biggest concern was how awful the lifts were. I heard many people complaining about them. There were often long waits and I got stuck in them twice - once for 5 minutes and the second time for 90 minutes! The duty manager was very helpful and supportive but the lifts really do need upgrading and are not efficient for a hotel of that standing and size.
