This property was beautiful and well maintained. The check- in process was short and staff was very helpful. The 2 bedroom condo was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. I liked that TVs were in the bedrooms as well living room area. Kitchen had all necessaries. We were there for 2 nights and didn’t get a chance to experience property amenities. I would return and recommend to others.

We booked six months in advance. When we arrived we were told our room was damaged “a few hours ago” and that it wasn’t available. The manager proceeded to lie and say someone had been trying to contact us. They had not. They told us they had a comparable space at another property. It was not comparable. It had fewer beds. When we complained they offered a third property but it also didn’t have enough beds. Moreover, they promised a discount but also said it was up to Expedia to approve and they did not. When I called Expedia the said I should have contacted them instead of the property and because I didn’t I wasn’t eligible for any compensation. On top of that we still were incessantly bothered about a time share ! This place should be pilloried by all! Do not stay here!!!

I actually really liked the resort. The room was a great size, had a nice kitchen, dining room, and living room in addition to 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. I wasn’t a huge fan of the tub open to the master bath but not a huge deal. My kids took advantage of the main pool and indoor pool which they all loved. Probably the only thing I did not enjoy was the pressure at check in to sign up for their vacation club. I get that that’s their schtick but I do not like being pressured into things. Needless to say I tried to avoid the staff like the plague and didn’t take advantage of some of their activities (they had wine/hors d’oeuvres on our check in night). It was clean and a very nice stay otherwise

This was a nice property but we had no hot water 1 day and a horrible sewage smell in the room on the last night of our stay. Not sure what was going on. We didn't alert maintenance about the water because we were on crunch time to ger ready for a party. As far as the sewage smell it was 12:30am when we got back so we closed the bathroom door to block the smell. I notified guest services the morning of checkout they apologized but didn't offer any compensation. We will probably try the property again.

Property is dated, but undergoing renovations. Staff very helpful. We like to watch TV later, and really only in our bedroom, when on vacation. That TV did not allow volume to be reduced towards zero, and lowest volume still too loud. Both remote and control button on TV. Had to pack towels around built in speakers! Also, towel bar in large soaking tub looks too much like a hand pull-up or support bar, and in correct position for same. Should probably have signage there as a warning to users. We stay here because it’s a quiet and secluded property and convenient to our frequent places like Starbucks, etc.

Do not book here through Expedia or any third party. Our booking (2 bedroom suite) was canceled 1 hour prior to arrival, with no alternative given . Expedia did not even know it was canceled when I called customer service, and Wyndham said it was not their problem, and directed us to call a “third party” that supposedly caused the cancellation. After much argument, the Wyndham manager called another supervisor , who helped us to rearrange a booking for a 2 bedroom suite. Poor customer service and poor communication between vendors. Lesson learned- book directly with hotel-bc if there’s a problem-it’s YOUR problem.

The stay was perfect, except for when I check in lady name Allison preferred me and my husband and family to go do a presentation and then she lied to us and said that we didn’t have to do the whole presentation that we deserved to just go and pick up our gifts so we said get your gift and the gift of yours to keep so we went in and we told him we had to go because we had a birthday party that we had to attend to for our babies first birthday and everything is ruined because she lied to us. They told us we didn’t and we wouldn’t get off the gift so we didn’t stay 90 minutes which was ridiculous. We told him that he was not buying anything. My recommendation is just say no do not. Do they offer horrible experience they are all liars

Perfect, except..... When we arrived after an 11 hour drive, we were greeted by the front desk staff that said "you're staying 2 nights, right?" Nope! We had booked/prepaid for 6 nights. The hotel apparently was going to shift us to another property after 2 nights. This was unacceptable, and is against the Virginia consumer protection law. I asked for the manager, who said "call the reservation number, and they will tell you where you're going." Nope! I insisted that she call. Fortunately, after 15 minutes in her office, she returned and said we could stay for the 6 nights we had booked. I had never experienced anything like this before, and it would have been a huge logistical nightmare for our particular circumstances. It's a timeshare that they also bill as a hotel. There is a soft sell at check-in to get you to go to their timeshare presentation - nothing too aggressive. Other than that, the property was fine. Quiet and peaceful. Close to the Williamsburg activities. Pool was nice. It's just a bit dated.

Wonderful vacation with one exception

The resort was wonderful. We only encountered one problem on check-in. We were told that we were scheduled for a meeting to get familiar with the Wyndham property for possible future purposes. It sounded like a timeshare trap. There was nothing mentioned about this on hotels.com when I booked our reservation. The staff was persistent that I attend the meeting, but I refused.
