Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Probably better if their head office never got involved as they were quite poor at customer relations

The vines

Lovely place, welcoming staff, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would visit again if in the area. The only down side of the room that it was too hot, they did have cooler in the room which helped.

8/10 Very good

This hotel decor is a little tired but not as bad as some of the reviews suggest and our one night stay overall was ok. Breakfast was great but dinner menu was pretty limited and service slow.

Charming place in the Cotswolds

This was an amazing place to stay! My mom and I spent three nights there, as it was a great location from which to visit Highclere Castle (from Downton Abbey), Bourton on the Water, and Blenheim Palace. The area was peaceful, and we were able to truly enjoy the Cotswolds experience. The B&B itself was charming, with an excellent English breakfast. The owners are a young couple who were very kind and attentive. We would definitely stay there again!

Great pub and friendly welcome

This is a fabulous pub and most welcoming. When driving there it looks to be “well out of the way” but only 14 minute drive to Dartmouth. The room was great and very roomy. Atmosphere was genuine and cosy for a country pub and locals were very friendly. We would recommend this pub to any travellers.

Perfect getaway

A great place to relax and chill out in a quiet area near Bampton. Ian and Camelia are excellent hosts. Although they have only been there a short while, it is obvious they are dedicated 💯 to achieving a lovely, friendly environment. Hopefully, we will return again in the near future.

Nice place, a few let downs with facilities

Really friendly welcome and the location was convenient for Brize Norton. Unfortunately there were a couple of dead woodlice in the room and the shower did not function well at all.
Rhys, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Friendly and helpful

Lovely location, a bit off the beaten track, and very helpful staff who made us feel welcome. Only question is that they should be clearer about whehter the restaurant is open or not (it wasn't) as it's not clear and can make a difference.
Guy, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

A very junior member that served at the bar and at dinner did so without any charm, almost like a chore. Ordered spicy pizza that cost £15 and felt like needed steel gnashers to get through! Breakfast though, was reasonable. Served by much more pleasant junior.

4/10 Fair

Unfortunately the room we had was unclean and had a mildew smell. When checking in the girl was serving at the bar and was really uninterested. No food when was available when we went for dinner and I was told we could order in and eat in our room. It appears the restaurant is just for show. When checking out I was told to just leave the key on the bar. Overall a really poor guest experience.
Janice, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Poor vaule for money

When we arrived just after 3pm. The kid behind the bar looked like he didnt want to be there, instead of him taking us to our room he told us where to go. Annex was covered in dust and had sequins all over the carpet and floor. Carpets could do with a clean. Curtains filthy Bathroom is a wet room no shelf to out your tolietries on also doety bathroom.Windows couldn't be left open and someone could come in. No safety lock for the windows. Fridge mouldy. Could go on. Food in the evening is at 6:30pm we wasn't told this until our arrival. Breakfast is self service apart from the cookd breakfast. Pictures are not what they seem
2-night trip

6/10 Good

Pretty average

Hotel is nice enough but needs a good general clean, like the rug in the restaurant area, the room was very tired looking. Could do with a bit of art or something on the walls in the rooms and restaurant so it isn’t so dreary. When we arrived to check in we were given the key to one of the ground floor family annex rooms, got there only to find other peoples possessions were in the room. We were quickly switched to another room so it was resolved instantly. However the room was very tired, one bed lamp missing a shade and bulb and there was an old very dried banana down the side of the single bed. Breakfast was nice but a bit meagre. All in all didn’t quite feel worth the price but I guess the location has a big impact on that. We were only staying for one night but I wouldn’t have booked more than that here.

pretty and great location.

lovely room over looking fields with cows and rabbits so very quiet apart from the training exercises of the raf at briz norton but they were nice to hear. Close to briz norton runway literally at the end of the road. Close to cotswold wildlife park and farmers dog pub. Looking cotswold stone brick. Very lovely and friendly hosts Good breakfast selection continental and cooked. Saw deer, cows, horses and wild rabbits
