I chose this hotel mainly for the price, and I am pleasantly surprised to find out that it's a very comfortable stay. The room is exactly what I needed and has a number of amenities I wasn't expecting - tub with jacuzzi jets, a very nice desk and desk chair. However, the breakfast buffet is really exceptional for the price - much better than the usual offerings of packaged oatmeal and store-bought pastries. Everything on the hot food buffet was made in house, with a variety of items that seem to be local specialties - fried bologna, three kinds of sausages, baked oatmeal - as well as pancakes, french toast, hash browns, and the more usual fare. Well worth the price and interesting for an out-of-towner like myself.
I will definitely make the Village Inn a stop-over on my trips between Vermont and North Carolina.
