Had come to town to attend the airshow on July 13th. It was a long drive so I came in on Saturday so I could have a nice quiet peaceful evening and be refreshed for the show on Sunday. I could not have picked a better place to stay. There's just something about the atmosphere in a small town that is so relaxing. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating as well as the owner Jennifer. While the rooms aren't oversize,(this is a large renovated home)they are tastefully decorated and extremely clean. The beds are soft and the showers have plenty of pressure. My stay here contributed to a very pleasant weekend.I would not hesitate to stay here again

Nice older Inn with charm. Big room and comfortable bed. Restaurant did great business as the parking lot was pretty full as we were leaving, and was empty when we returned in the evening.

The inn and staff were wonderful. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The inn itself is beautifully decorated and you can see the love the owners have poured into this property. It is not a large chain hotel experience and that is exactly what makes the Avon Inn special. My husband and I cannot wait for our next visit.

Charming

Very nice historic inn on a quaint little street. The surprise gem of our stay was a short walk to the Avondale Pub in the Main Street area a few blocks away. If you like a good ole brewpub with EXCELLENT food and friendly people go there for sure.

Jennifer, the owner was always around to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant- the food was good and our server Jessica couldn't have been any more friendly and accommodating. A wonderful place to stay

This is a very beautiful historic inn. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the Keurig, coffee and water provided. Notable was the decorative ceiling tiles reminescent of the tin squares of old; lovely. The owner was gracious and very attentive to our requests. Having a wonderful restaurant on-site was not only convenient but our meals were exceptional. We heartily recommend staying at the Avon Inn.

Wonderful

This is THE place to stay in the charming upstate town of Avon. The renovations completed a few years ago have left the gorgeous historical character intact, while adding modern functionality and comfort. The staff is friendly and efficient, parking is convenient, and the location within a short walk of downtown. We shall definitely return.

If you happen to be traveling through Livingston county, this is the place to stay. This historic inn is beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and offer any help needed. We stayed in the bridal room . The king sized, adjustable bed was comfortable. Usually, I don’t sleep well away from home; here I did. Read the history of this place and the famous people who stayed here!

This property is a former residence built in the 1800s. We stayed in the original part of the home which was very charming and comfortable. There are also rooms in a newer addition. The owner, Jennifer, made us feel so welcome. The ambiance of the bar and the food in the restaurant were both excellent. I will definitely stay here any time I am visiting my granddaughter at Geneseo. It is only a straight 15 minute drive from campus on a beautiful country road.

We love old houses, so this was a treat. The inn is beautiful. Jennifer, the owner/manager, is very hospitable and super cooperative. Our travel arrangements changed at the last minute, taking our stay from 3 nights to 2 nights, and she just said "no problem, that's just fine." When was the last time that happened??!! no penalty, no problem. She was great.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed overnight at the Avon Inn on our wedding night and were immediately thrilled with the ease of check-in (we arrived late and were provided with a code to retrieve our key from a lock box). Once we got to our room (120), we were very excited by the beauty of the space! The room was large with tall ceilings, a large bed, a fireplace, a TV with streaming services, and a lovely bathroom. Our favorite part of our stay, though, was BY FAR the bed. The king bed was amazingly comfortable, but as the cherry on top (!) the bed had a remote with the ability to elevate your feet and prop up your pillows for extra comfort while watching TV. We enjoyed the simple continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt, bagels, and cereal and appreciated the willingness of the Avon Inn to extend our checkout to a later time.

A wonderful space in time.

Came across this gem on a college visit. Absolutely wonderful. Historic landmark in the cute little town of Avon where the local people are courteous and friendly. The owners are very nice and extremely gracious We dined in the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised about the quality of food and service from the staff. This hotel brings me back to a time where life was simple, where the finer details of the day were more accentuated and appreciated. Sometimes life has a way of sending you messages. This hotel that was once visited by the “vagabond” trio of Edison, Ford and Firestone during their many travels together is a gift to those who may need to take a deep breath and reconnect with their old soul and imagine what life was like during simpler and finer times.

I was so pleasantly surprised when we got to the Inn! My parents and I had two rooms for four days and three nights. They had dinner one evening and said it was delicious. The rooms are super quaint. The beds are comfy. The whole place is absolutely spotless, which is difficult for an old historic building. My dad and I were saying they must clean it with a toothbrush! The attention to detail is obvious. There's a pool table in the lobby. The continental breakfast is small but it's so much better than the ones you find at hotel chains where you know they all use the same vendors. The little blueberry scones were the best I ever had. I took some for the road! They had fresh muffins too, warm from the oven. Then there's coffee, juice, cereal, bagels and English muffins. The staff was fantastic, very pleasant and easy to chat with. Absolutely recommend.

2/10 Poor

My recent hotel stay was a complete disaster and the worst I've ever experienced. It all started when I arrived to a completely deserted lobby and had to find an employee in the kitchen just to get checked in. Even though my room was ready, I was forced to wait for someone who knew how to use the computer. The check-in was finally done by a new employee who was being told what to do over the phone by a manager who wasn't even there. I was then told the free breakfast started at 8 AM, which was useless since I had to leave by 7 AM. Things got even worse when I got to my room. It was right above the kitchen and had a strong, awful smell of food. The room was also disgustingly dirty. In a dresser drawer, I found a previous guest's used UNDERWEAR, pantyhose, and a SANITARY PAD. Later that evening, the noise from the kitchen was unbearable, with LOUD BANGING, yelling, and vibrations that shook the whole bed. The last straw was finding a long black hair stuck to the shower wall. I was so grossed out by everything that I slept in my clothes with headphones on. I had to write this review to warn everyone away from this place!
Underwear, pantyhose, and sanitary pad I found in the drawer.
Hair in the shower.
Proof of where this took place.
