There are a ton of things to do in this bustling capital city. From the historic and religious, not to mention beautifully designed, buildings of the historic colonial quarter to the modern architectural marvel that is the Petronas Towers, sightseeing is an obvious choice. Sightseeing in Kuala Lampur
In Kuala Lumpur’s central business district stand the twin structures of the Petronas Towers. From 1998 to 2004, the towers were the tallest buildings in the world, usurped only by Taiwan’s Taipei 101. The Petronas Towers still hold the title of tallest twin towers in the world. The Park Stay at Kuala Lumpur Apartments is a good accommodation option in this area.
Located in the northern suburbs of Kuala Lumpur is this important Hindu site dedicated to Lord Murugan. Upon exiting the train station, visitors to the site are welcomed by a gigantic golden statue of the Hindu diety. To get to the cave temples, visitors climb up 272 steps carved on the side of a limestone cliff.
Transportation in Kuala Lampur
Kuala Lumpur International Airport is an important flight hub for Southeast Asia with flights connecting to virtually all continents. The airport's budget terminal is the main headquarters and hub of budget carrier giant AirAsia. KL's rapid transit network is the most effective means to get around the city. With three light rail lines, a monorail and a commuter rail, travelling to and from the main sights in the city could not be easier.
