The Tian Tan Buddha is a 40-minute drive from Hong Kong Disneyland. This bronze statue sits on top of the Ngong Ping Plateau. You'll have to climb a 260-step stairway to get to the Buddha, but an easier alternative is to ride the Ngong Ping Cable Car. Right across the Tian Tan Buddha, about a 5-minute walk away, is the Po Lin Monastery, known for its intricate Buddhist artwork. Around 15 minutes away by bus or by car is the Tai O Fishing Village. This village is one of the few remaining places that have maintained their traditional look amid Hong Kong's modern developments.

How to get to Hong Kong Disneyland

If you're coming from downtown, you can take a bus to Hong Kong Disneyland. Ride a bus going down Route 33 or Route 42, then get off at the Disneyland Resort Public Transport Interchange (PTI). From PTI, you can grab another bus that will take you to the resort. You can also use the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) to get to Disneyland. Board the Tung Chun Line train at Hong Kong Station in Central, and get off at Sunny Bay Station. There, take the train on the Disneyland Resort Line. It will drop you off at the resort.
